Options are a good thing: Be a housewife/Be a CEO/Get married/Remain single/Have children/Don’t have children/Dress up like a princess or Don’t.
The good news - We can do multiple things… As in anything we want to do and so can our daughters. The costume’s never been to blame, it’s always been about the substance within. The decor on the outside is nothing more than pretty wrapping paper covering a splendid gift or colorful sprinkles on a multi-layered frosted cake.
This is great. Creative mom/Lucky girl.
Texas Photographer, Recreates Iconic Women’s Portraits With Her Daughter
By: Ryan Grenoble
When Jaime Moore’s daughter, Emma, turned 5, the Texas mom and photographerset out to commemorate the occasion in pictures. Searching for inspiration online, however, she was dismayed to find the majority of girls at that age dressed up, unrealistically, as fairy-tale princesses. So Jaime decided to raise the bar.
Mom searched for better role models, and together with Emma selected five real women that a girl can actually aspire to be like. Then, they replicated iconic portraits of those figures — Susan B. Anthony, Coco Chanel, Amelia Earhart, Helen Keller and Jane Goodall.
The title of the series, “NOT just a girl,” is meant to be an inspirational message for young women seeking to realize their full potential — beyond vague dreams of Disney princesses.

I’m an artist at heart. My head is always floating in an artistic environment… Unless I intentionally pull myself back down to the lovely black/white world that keeps me grounded. Which I thankfully do on a daily basis in the tech world.
I’m back, obviously… and just came across an I don’t know how or why fantastic accidental find.

Mid 19th Century Victorian Intaglio Wax Seal Fob, $265
Probably the most confusing Victorian intaglio I’ve ever seen. It took me a minute, but I got it. See if you can figure it out. The bottom image is mirrored to show how it would be seen when impressed in wax.
I’m still not sure why the word “return” has a line through it. Bonus points if you can make sense of that.
